Meet Jess,

My work is personal.

I haven't always been a nutritionist. For years I was the woman who'd tried everything, and I carried more than 100 extra pounds to show for it. Losing that weight, and keeping it off, wasn't a diet. It was learning how food actually works in the body, and then learning how to cook it so I'd want to eat it. That journey took me to culinary school, and then to a B.S. in Nutrition Science, because I needed to understand the why behind what had finally worked.

Then life happened.

Somewhere in my 30s I went through a divorce after 17 years of marriage that took a real toll on my heart and, quite literally, on my body. Later, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition. Both times, nutrition was the thing that steadied me. Not a miracle, not a cure, just the daily, unglamorous work of feeding my body well so it could do its job. I know firsthand what it's like to feel like your body has turned on you, and I know what it takes to feel like yourself again.

Today I'm remarried to a retired Air Force officer who now flies for an airline, we live in The Woodlands, Texas, and between us we're raising four kids. My kitchen is busy. My calendar is busier. I say that not to complain but so you know I'm not coaching from a place of unlimited time and easy mornings.

What I believe.

Nutrition drives everything, how we feel, how we think, how we sleep, how we show up for the people who depend on us. Most of us were never taught its real power, especially in midlife, when hormones are shifting and the old rules quietly stop working. I believe you can support your hormones, build the body composition you want, and have more energy through all of the perimenopause drama. But not with a plan designed for a 25-year-old with few responsibilities.

That's why every plan I build fits the life my client already has. If you're shuttling kids to school and practice every day, we plan around that. If you travel for work and eat in airports, we plan around that too. I've worked with women across professions and schedules, and the plan that succeeds is always the one that bends to real life instead of breaking against it.

Why I do this.

Because I remember being fed up. I remember doing everything right and getting nowhere, and how lonely that felt. You don't need more willpower. You need a plan built for the body you have now, and someone in your corner who's walked this road.

I'm currently completing my M.S. in Exercise and Sport Nutrition at Texas Woman's University, because I never want to stop learning what it helps women feel their best.  What I off is nutrition coaching, practical, personal and built around your life.
